Carter seated us and just from the vibe he gave off, we knew we were in for a treat. We had not been since the change in ownership (shame on us!). I can’t give enough accolades to our experience tonight. Absolutely everything about this place is top-notch. The service was first class, and Carter made us feel like we had been friends for years. The Food. I can’t enough about the food. My wife and I both love to cook, and we are pretty good at it. When we go out, we want to be wowed. We were. High quality fresh ingredients combined with precise, on point culinary artwork is second to none that we have experienced in Rochester. The owner, Matt, sat down and conversed with us, which made our night. We have common people special in our lives, and his appreciation for how the communal has embraced him makes him a special asset to the community. Matt has captured the essence of current culinary artwork and still pays homage to the traditional foods we all love Thanks Matt! I look forward to savoring your version Of Margarita Scallops! Enjoyed an absolutely delicious meal tonight at Lucca! I have driven by many times and I’m sorry I haven’t been in sooner! My friends and I picked Lucca as our April meeting place and it was just superb! Each of our meals were so tasty, lovely service, amazing portions, excellent wine selection, and the focaccia bread was outstanding! We will be back!
I ordered rigatoni Bolognese from Lucca (through Door Dash) this past Friday and just finished my leftovers today (Monday). Bolognese is my favorite, and hands down, this was the BEST Bolognese I have ever had. So so so delicious.
We had an excellent dinner here, with a large group. Tiara was our server and she was excellent, as was the bartender. I highly recommend the eggplant lasagna!! Everyone enjoyed their entrees and the servings are huge. Some of the best sauce I've ever had so I was really happy to have leftovers for the next day!

Matt the owner went out of his way to help a group of elderly resident from a local senior living community have an extraordinary day. Everyone had delicious food, and the chocolate lava cake was the perfect end to the meal. Thank you for everything BFF you did for our group today. Amazing place and amazing service.
Hands down the BEST Italian food in Rochester. I’ve had just about everything on the menu at Lucca’s Kitchen & Cocktails—especially the baked ziti and chicken parm—and nothing else in the city even comes close. The flavors are unreal, portions are perfect, and the atmosphere is warm, inviting, and classy without trying too hard. The owner (who also runs the floor like a pro) is incredibly knowledgeable and clearly passionate about the food—every recommendation is on point. If you haven’t been, you’re seriously missing out.
